George IV Mahogany ‘Grecian Couch’ or Chaise Longue, Attributed to Gillow of Lancaster & London c1825.

A beautifully elegant mahogany sofa in the “Grecian” style attributed to Gillows and c1825. There was a fashion for all things Greek during the reign of George IVth and this piece is a perfect example. It is shown with a burr ash William IVth period wine table c1835.
