Description

An Australian cedar campaign with Tasmania provenance c1840. Supremely practical these chests were made to be carried and transported and so the design is paired back to prevent damage. The hinged flaps at the front would stop the drawers from flying open as the chest was being carried or shipped. Campaign furniture is highly collectable and this is a great example: its simplicity would work well in a modern home.
